Miss Melissa Roberts
For as long as I can remember I have aspired to become a primary school teacher. Whilst studying for my Children’s Care Learning and Development degree I had the privilege of working in two educational settings and have gained in depth experience of working in Early Years and KS1. Before starting my journey to train at Magna Carta Primary Academy in September 2017, I spent four years as a lead practitioner in a private nursery where I cared daily for two year olds. I feel that working with young children is the most rewarding job and each day comes with new excitement; I could never imagine myself doing anything else. I know that a career in teaching comes with huge responsibility and challenges, but the difference that a teacher can make to a child's life is monumental. I was fortunate to have some excellent teachers who inspired me further and I hope to become a teacher who can inspire others. As a reflective and enthusiastic practitioner I am dedicated to enabling young minds to develop and achieve. I have loved being a part of Magna Carta so far and look forward to watching it continue to grow into a fantastic school.
