Job Vacancies for Pupils

Our curriculum is not just about what happens during lessons. It is in everything we do and everything we say. It is also found in the experiences we give our pupils. One of our four drivers is to promote enterprise and aspiration. Therefore, as well as making links between our formal curriculum and the world of work, we also give our pupils opportunities to experience that world.

Currently, some pupils work as Lunchtime Supervisors. A job description and person specification was shared with pupils and anyone interested in the position was invited to apply. They were shortlisted and interviewed.  

Similarly, we have advertised vacancies for Digital Leaders, 1215 Committee Members (School Council), Sports Leaders, School Prefects and Librarians.

The purpose of these jobs or roles is for our pupils to experience writing an application, having an interview (as well as to know how it feels not to be selected for interview), and of course, to have a sense of pride in themselves for a job well done.
