Family Fun Day
Posted: 1st July 2019The whole community came together to enjoy a Family Fun Day at a Stansted school.
Parents of pupils at Magna Carta Primary Academy hosted the event, with stalls set up including Hook a Duck, arts and crafts, Lucky Dip and face-painting.
Families also enjoyed a scooter course, bouncy castles, Beat the Goalie and a performance from pupil singers.
There was a barbecue, refreshments, scones and ice cream to keep visitors fed and watered in the sunshine.
Headteacher Marios Solomonides said: “It was wonderful to see so many members of our school community at this family event. We have the most supportive parents, many of whom volunteer their time to organise events such as this. I am very grateful to our parents and staff for giving up their time to give our pupils yet another memorable experience.
“I even enjoyed my stint in the stocks - although some of our pupils are very strong throwers! I was soaking wet by the end of it. All in a good cause.
“When children see their parents interested in their school, they know that school is important.”
